From 18-29 July 2016, the Western Balkans Fund (WBF) in cooperation with the International Visegrad Fund (IVF) participated in a fact-finding Tour in the Western Balkans region.
Supported by all Polish Embassies in the Region, in the framework of the Polish V4 Presidency, the activities aimed to inform about funding opportunities for regional cooperation projects in the Western Balkans.
The tour started in Tirana, following with Skopje, Pristina, Podgorica, Sarajevo and ended in Belgrade.
Open session with questions and answers regarding the future cooperation with both organizations were organized with civil society representatives in all the Capitals. There was considerable participation and high interest shown.
The aim of the sessions was to pinpoint to the reforms that are to be introduced within the International Visegrad Fund, as well as to introduce the newly established Western Balkans Fund.
Also, meetings with relevant MFA’s representatives were organized in Tirana, Skopje, Pristina and Podgorica.
The initiative for the creation of WBF was strongly supported by all participants, as timely and coherent with the overall developments in the region.
