WBF reach in 2024 surpasses 1 million

The Western Balkans Fund is closing 2024 with a significant increase in visibility and regional impact.

On Facebook, our primary communication channel, we reached 1 million views by year-end. Similarly, on Instagram, 200 posts and stories engaged over 150,000 users.

On LinkedIn, our yearly engagement reached 80,000 views. Likewise, the WBF webpage recorded hundreds of thousands of visits in 2024, generated by 46,000 unique users.

Website traffic increased by 65% compared to 2023.

Another noteworthy achievement is the diversification and regional reach of our activities. Growth has been observed across all our Contracting Parties, with a record-breaking +113% in Belgrade, over 100% in Sarajevo, and increases ranging from 20% to 68% in the remaining four Contracting Parties.

In 2024, our PR campaign expanded to additional communication channels, including LinkedIn, YouTube, X, and Threads, ensuring a well-rounded outreach strategy. Across all social media platforms, the Western Balkans Fund has amassed over 30,000 regular followers.

We also continued to grow our WBF Partnership Platform, a vital matchmaking tool, which now connects 3,000 stakeholders. These achievements have made us even more ambitious for the year ahead.

In 2025, with a redesigned Communication Plan, part of the new Strategic Development Plan of 2025-29, we aim to increase further our reach, making the WBF one of the key hubs for Civil Society Organisations and other stakeholders in our Region.
