After seven successful years of partnership, we are pleased to announce that our cooperation with the Government of Japan will continue further, building on a shared commitment to regional dialogue, cooperation and trust-building across the Western Balkans.
Last week, Mr. Omori, Counsellor at the Embassy of Japan to Albania, visited the WBF Secretariat to reconfirm Japan’s continued support for this important cooperation framework and to discuss the next steps of our joint engagement.
Since 2019, with the support of the Government of Japan, WBF has organized flagship regional dialogues addressing some of the region’s most relevant issues, including countering hate speech, empowering women and leadership, supporting freedom of expression, local-government cooperation, diaspora engagement and civil-society convening.
Building on this strong track record, we are now preparing a new regional event dedicated to another crucial topic for the Western Balkans.
