Sarajevo Business Forum 2019
WBF Executive Director, Mr. Gjergj Murra attended the 10th Sarajevo Business Forum, and was a speaker of the 2nd Panel “Challenges for the SEE Region (Turning Brain Drain into Brain Gain) – under the auspices of the Bosnia and Herzegovina SEECP (South Eastern European Cooperation Process) Chairmanship-in-Office.”
Some of the topics the distinguished panelists discussed focused on cultural exchanges, entrepreneurial ecosystems, education and professional certification, increasing public and private transparency or how can we tackle the brain drain phenomena, a very disturbing topic especially for the WB region.
Mr. Murra addressed the Forum by presenting the WBF mission and objectives as an all-inclusive and regional owned initiative aiming to support civil society organizations projects and actions. Considering the important role of CSO community as one of the biggest job providers in the region, employing thousands of experts, Mr. Murra highlighted the need that our politicians and decision makers should take it high consideration and to increase the resources devoted to support joint regional activities. In this respect he also invited participants in the forum to follow the work of WBF and consider possibilities for supporting financially its work and mission.
Participants in the 2nd Panel were also H.E. Dr. Ahmet Davutoglu, Former Prime Minister of Republic of Turkey and H.E. Stjepan Mesic, Former President of Republic of Croatia and other leading business and political leaders from the region and the world.
