The Western Balkans Fund had the pleasure to welcome today at the Secretariat the Regional Director for IREX for Europe and Eurasia, Ms Joanna Rohozinska and the Senior Program Manager of IREX Albania, Ms Laureta Memo.
During the meeting, Ms Rohozinska and the WBF Executive Director, Dr Murra, discussed the importance of the regional approach to our common, key fields of intervention.
Both parties agreed to explore further cooperation possibilities that serve our joint objectives.
IREX, established in 1968 to enhance academic exchanges between students and academic staff in the United States and the Soviet Union, operates today in more than 80 countries.
With a budget of over 100 million USD annually, they primarily focus on youth cooperation, cultivating new leaders, education, media and governmental capacity building.
