The Western Balkans Fund and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation are joining hands for a strengthened and flourishing Culture and Creativity Sector in the Western Balkans region!
Today, the Executive Director of WBF, Mr. Gjergj Murra and, the Head of AICS, Mrs. Stefania Vizzaccaro have signed an agreement for the implementation of “Development of capacity building programmes for cultural and creative industries in the Western Balkans”, an action which falls under the framework of the EU project “CULTURE AND CREATIVITY FOR THE WESTERN BALKANS – CC4WBs”.
Both Organisations are happy to announce this first cooperation initiative which will pave the way to a longer and fruitful partnership to the benefit of the Western Balkans region.
The action focuses on capacity building activities for Culture and Creativity Actors in the region further enhancing their potential to become important drivers of culture, economy and social transformation actions in the region.
“We greatly appreciate WBF as a trustworthy partner and are sure of the success of this important journey that we start today together”, underlined Ms. Vizzaccaro.
From his behalf, ED Murra underlined the importance of working together with such an important partner as AICS, a decision fully endorsed by our Council of Senior Officials of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the WB.
He added that at WBF, we hope that this first joint project will set the first stone of a very important partnership in the years to come.
