In Sremski Karlovci, the School of Social Engagement and Democracy (ANDEM) became a vibrant space for dialogue and reflection on some of today’s most pressing challenges: populism, the crisis of democracy, and gender relations.
For one inspiring week, participants from across the Western Balkans Contracting Parties gathered to exchange perspectives, strengthen civic participation, and foster a new generation of young people ready to challenge populist narratives and reinforce democratic values in their societies.
The programme offered interactive sessions, debates, and collaborative activities designed to encourage critical thinking and regional solidarity among youth and civil society actors. Through these engagements, ANDEM has helped shape a stronger foundation for social engagement and democratic resilience across the Region.
This initiative was implemented with the financial support of the WBF–EU Joint Action, a programme co-funded by the European Union through the IPA III – Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance III.
