Mr. Gjergj Murra hosted the Turkish Ambassador to Albania Mr. Hidayet Bayraktar, Head of The Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA), Mr. Eyup Yavuz Umutlu and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Halil Hyseni in the premises of the Western Balkans Fund Secretariat.
Director Murra expressed WBF’s gratitude to the Ambassador and to The Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) for supporting WBF Secretariat with technical equipment.
During the meeting, Mr. Murra acquainted the participants with the goals of the Western Balkans Fund and its actual phase of progress and establishment and the plans for activities and operations in the near future.
Mr. Hyseni, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed to the fact that the Office of the WBF is the first of its kind in Albania and it constitutes a very important step forward in strengthening the regional cooperation and in promoting and facilitating people to people contacts.
Turkish ambassador to Albania Mr. Hidayet Bayraktar and Mr.Umutlu expressed the will for the continuation and extension of support towards the Western Balkans in the future and highlighted that cooperation among the countries is important and it sets an example in our time.
