Empowered by a WBF Move Grant, Darko Petrović from Čačak, a long-standing advocate for persons with disabilities, conducted an in-depth regional analysis on the challenges and current state of Paralympic sports.

During his visits across the Contracting Parties, Mr. Petrović met with renowned professional Paralympic athletes and engaged with key stakeholders to better understand the realities they face. His research revealed how para-athletes consistently achieve remarkable results despite limited funding, scarce media coverage, and insufficient public support.

Through field visits, consultations with similar organizations, and the creation of a Regional Partnership Framework, the initiative raised awareness about these challenges, promoted inclusion, and strengthened regional cooperation for the advancement of para sports.
