Today, during the final meeting of the year for the Council of Senior Officials, Prishtina assumed the Chairmanship-in-Office of the Western Balkans Fund, taking over from Sarajevo.
Throughout 2025, the new Prishtina Chairmanship aims to implement a comprehensive growth plan, including several milestone objectives, with the goal of further consolidating regional cooperation in the Western Balkans.
As a Fund, we are excited to continue building upon the historic achievements of the Sarajevo 2024 Chairmanship-in-Office.
During Sarajevo’s tenure, for the first time in our history, we managed five different Calls for Proposals within a single year. We established new partnerships and significantly enhanced our regional impact.
While the rotation of the Chairmanship-in-Office was the key highlight of the December 18–19 meeting, the gathering was also crucial for planning ahead for 2025. We aim to kick off the year with an exciting new opportunity in January.
