In a beautiful location, an underground antic hall of the Belgrade Fortress, Camerata Balcanica, concluded a very successful regional tour.
Before Belgrade, the Chamber Orchestra composed by some of the best regional classical music talents performed magnificently in Tirana, Albania, and Herceg Novi, Montenegro.
Guided by Belgian conductor Benjamin Haemhouts, the Orchestra re-enacted some of the best “homemade” plays from well-known composers like Dvorak, Bartok, Agolli, etc.
Western Balkans Fund was happy to support again Camerata Balcanica, a 2020 grantee, in a regional tour dedicated to our fourth anniversary.
The performances in Tirana, Herceg Novi, and Belgrade were attended by members of the diplomatic corps, partners, regional stakeholders, media, representatives of the civil society, and music enthusiasts.
The next stop of the Orchestra will be Sarajevo and Skopje.
IN THE LAST FOUR YEARS, the WBF portfolio has enabled multiple regional networks, involving 3.400 stakeholders and more than 10.000 individuals.
