On April 4 2017, Mr. Murra, Executive Director designate of WBF was in Pristina for a working visit.
He had consultations with Mr. Albert Prenkaj, MFA General Director and with Mr. Fitim Gllareva, WBF National Coordinator.
During the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Mr. Enver Hoxhaj, the ratification of the Agreement on the Establishment of WBF by the Kosovo Assembly was prized as an important momentum that leads to the launching of WBF activities before long. Discussions also focused on the upcoming Fund’s activities, with a particular focus on those related to PR and Fund Raising, aiming to promote and strengthen the capacities of WBF.
Underlying the WBF areas of cooperation, its working methods and the specific targets groups, the interlocutors shared the mutual opinion that, as an all inclusive and regionally owned initiative, WBF has the potentials to play a considerable role in promoting and enhancing people to people contacts, thus contributing to the strengthening of regional cooperation in the Western Balkans.
