The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania attended the SYNERGY Conference today.
Delivering a keynote speech, Mr. Hasani underlined that “EU integration is, in many ways, the untold story of local governance.”
“Municipalities often carry the heavy lifting. Their role in this process is far from invisible. Municipalities are the bedrock on which successful integration is built, a key part of the big puzzle,” he added.
On his behalf, Mr. Lipavský declared that “Tirana has become a hub for regional and European cooperation.”
Referring to the conference, he appreciated that “this organization is a testament to the importance and synergy of cooperation and integration.”
He emphasized that initiatives like the Visegrad Fund and the Western Balkans Fund are crucial for our future.
Before addressing the mayors and other participants of the SYNERGY Conference, the Western Balkans Fund presented Mr. Lipavský with a medal as a small token of appreciation.
