Dear Partners, Colleagues and Friends of WBF,
The end of a year is a good time for reflecting on achievements, and to see what still needs to be accomplish.
For all of us, at Western Balkans Fund (WBF) 2018 was a remarkable year, full of exciting tasks, memorable contacts, and beautifully implemented projects and very stimulating ideas for our future work.
During this year we celebrated our First Anniversary and successfully conducted the First Call for Regional Projects, with eighteen projects granted, gathering more than 85 partnerships all over the region.
Continuing on a high note from the previous Call, in November 2018, WBF opened its Second Call. The experience and knowledge gained from the First Call, reflected on successfulness and high turnout of applications received.
Once again, our region has shown great interest to increase its cooperation, by creating partnership with organizations and enhancing trust toward our organization.
We are more than happy to continue helping them in making their vision of cooperation a sustainable reality!
Under the auspices of the Western Balkan Fund, the two Calls for Proposals provided a great opportunity to our region to implement activities that provide assistance to communities and Civil Society organizations to closely work together for the betterment of our beautiful region.
The Western Balkans Fund remains committed to the notion of good neighborly relations and people-to -people links as a means of fostering the principles of regional cooperation and democracy. The work of the WBF is a successful example of an initiative that promotes values of working together in open dialogue to better ensure a collective responsibility towards a greater understanding between communities in our region.
On this occasion, on behalf of WBF Team, I wish to thank all our collaborators, supporters, partners, grantees and other our friends. Without your support and encouragement WBF couldn’t be as successful as it is, for what we would like to express our gratitude for your constructive partnership and wish you successful New Year and Happy Holidays!
