“Inclusive dialogue to shape the Region’s Future”‘. WBF representatives at Atlantic Council and YATA Montenegro

Mina Milović, Project Coordinator at the Western Balkans Fund and also serving as a Young European Ambassador, participated as a panelist at an event marking 20 years since the restoration of Montenegro’s independence, organized by the Atlantic Council of Montenegro and YATA Montenegro.

In her dual role, she also contributes to translating complex regional and European processes into accessible narratives for the wider public, thereby supporting greater understanding and engagement with EU-related developments.

The Fund, in line with its Statute and mandate, remains strongly committed to engaging with youth and supporting their meaningful participation in regional dialogue, while its staff actively contributes to discussions, reflections, and initiatives in this field across the Western Balkans.

Speaking in the session “Vision of the New Generation: From the Restoration of Independence to Contemporary Challenges,” Mina contributed alongside young voices and representatives of relevant institutions and organizations, emphasizing the importance of inclusive dialogue in shaping the region’s future.

The event also provided an important opportunity to meet with longstanding partners from Montenegro, as well as to establish new contacts with active civil society organizations interested in the Fund’s grant schemes and other cooperation opportunities.

The discussion reaffirmed that while youth perspectives may at times be critical, they are rooted in responsibility and a genuine commitment to long-term progress. Ensuring that these voices are not only heard but meaningfully included in decision-making processes remains essential for democratic development, European integration, and regional stability, goals that are shared across generations and central to the Western Balkans Fund’s mission.
