In Novi Sad, 30 young painters from across the region pledged to work together towards building tolerance, mutual understanding, and a greener communities.
The gathering is part of the “Eco-Friendly Colony” project, which held its main activity earlier in September at Blidinje Park during a week-long workshop.
During the workshop, in addition to painting, the participants attended lectures on “Ecology Through Community Engagement,” “Promotion of Cultural Heritage Through Art,” and “Empowerment of Individuals and Non-Governmental Organizations in the Context of EU Integration.”
The Western Balkans Fund’s focus on environmental projects has steadily increased over the years, with nearly one-third of our ongoing projects directly or indirectly addressing environmental issues.
The event in Novi Sad was facilitated by the collaboration of the Association for Development, Environment and Culture EKO Zh in Široki Brijeg, Nasa Akcija in Kotor, and Environmental Protection Engineers in Novi Sad.
This initiative is part of the Western Balkans Fund’s 6th Call for Proposals.
