In the framework of the celebration of the Montenegrin Presidency of the Western Balkans Fund for 2026, we had another major reason to celebrate.
The Western Balkans Fund and the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, represented by the German Ambassador to Montenegro, H.E. Peter Felten, officially signed a partnership agreement.
Through this cooperation, Germany will support financially WBF through a project-based grant agreement, a major step forward for us and a strong signal of trust in our regional mission.
This is a historic moment for WBF.
After becoming a focal point for gender equality initiatives within the framework of the Berlin Process last year, this new partnership will help the Fund further strengthen its institutional capacities, expand its regional role and deliver greater impact across the Western Balkans.
We are grateful to Germany for supporting a stronger, more connected and more inclusive region.
