Under the Hungarian Presidency of V4, the annual meeting of the V4 Group and the Western Balkans took place in Budapest on October 11, 2017.
The main topic of the meeting was the speeding up of the enlargement in the Western Balkans, in which the Ministers contributed by focusing on concrete examples of how their countries’ individual accession process could be advanced.
WBF Executive Director, Dr. Gjergj Murra was invited to attend the Foreign Ministerial of the V4 Group and the Western Balkans Six, and during the session made a presentation of WBF actual standpoint and latest developments.
Following the meeting, the Visegrad Group Foreign Ministers together with their Western Balkans counterparts issued a joint statement with a specific short reference on Western Balkans Fund.
