Promote Culture of Tolerance and Mutual Respect within the region FIRE Conference kicked off today, in the presence of the diplomatic corps, distinguished guests, and media.
A welcoming speech was held by the Executive Director of the Western Balkans Fund, Dr Murra, focused on the importance of encountering hate speech for the future of the WB region.
Miss Blerina Gjylameti, an MP of the Parliament of Albania, spoke in the name of the Chairmen of the Parliament to welcome the hosts.
Ambassador Snezana Boskovic-Prodanovic, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belgrade, gave remarks on behalf of the Belgrade 2022 Chairmanship in Office. She underlined the plan of several points of Belgrade to increase the visibility and importance of the Fund during Belgrade’s tenure.
Ambassador of Japan to Albania, Takada Mitsuyuki and Karel Urban, Ambassador of the Czech Republic, also on behalf of the IVF, also gave their remarks on the support of the Conference.
