Liri Kuçi is a researcher and recipient of a WBF Move Grant from Tirana.
Acknowledging the challenges posed by the absence of a dedicated Department for Gender and Sexuality Studies at the University of Tirana, she successfully applied to complete a mobility at the Sociology Department of the University in Prishtina.
The exchange resulted in the publication of the study: “Unveiling Power Structures and Intersectionality: Examining the Feminist Movement Dynamics in Post-Socialist Albania”.
Despite focusing on one of the Contracting Parties of the WBF, the study draws many similarities at a regional level.
It is a testimonial about women’s challenges, imposed obstacles, and struggle for equality. But it is also about the wide range of empowering tools, about inspiring examples and the change that all of us can make.
