Western Balkans Fund Secretariat is pleased to release some more evidence regarding its first Call for regional projects, (15 November – 22 December 2017):
After the deadline expired, 351 applications were submitted. A large number, exactly 1298 partners networked and interact with each other, for proposing joint regional project ideas and concrete actions. The average number of the partners per project is 3.7, (much higher than the minimum request of three partners per project proposal).
These figures are another clear sign of the maturity, the willingness and the readiness of WB societies to cooperate and work together towards common objectives. These results make our Call a successful endeavor, by fulfilling one of the most important objectives of the Fund: supporting the enhancement of people-to-people contacts in our region.
Project proposals by areas:
- Cultural Cooperation: 45.4 percent;
- Educational Development and Scientific Exchanges: 34.4 percent;
- Sustainable Development: 20.2 percent.

- Albania 20 %
- Bosnia and Herzegovina 16%
- Kosovo* 10 %
- Montenegro 8%
