The Western Balkans Fund, in cooperation with EU Tacso, proudly launched today a three day workshop aiming to strengthen the capacity of the Regional Cooperation for Civil Society Organisations.
The over 50 participants of the workshop are grantees of the 4th and the 5th Call for Proposals, that was co-funded by the European Union through IPA – Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance.
The workshop, taking place in Durrës from 5-7 December, is designed to have three plenary sessions and three thematic topics, namely partnership development, identification of challenges and amplifying voices through sustainable actions.
At the reception ceremony of the workshop, the Executive Director of the Fund, Dr. Murra underlined the importance that Civil Society Organisations have in shaping our societies.
He expressed gratitude towards the Contracting Parties, the European Union and EU TACSO for all the support provided.
On behalf of Tirana 2023 Chairmanship-in-Office (CiO), Ambassador Robo underlined the importance that regional initiatives have for our Contracting Parties.
He went on praising the Fund, for achieving in time all the priorities set by Tirana CiO, including the diversification of partnerships and growth in relevance and visibility.
Last to welcome the participants was our WBF-EU Joint Action Manager, Fjordi Bisha.
In his short opening remarks, Mr Bisha outlined all the structure of the workshop and what is expected to happen during the next two days.
