CSO Summit application call announcement

Western Balkans Fund invites representatives of Civil Society Organizations from: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia to apply for 1st Western Balkans CSO Summit, which will take place on 27 -29 February, 2020, in Tirana .

Apart from CSO representatives, considering the wide range of WBF stakeholders, representatives from: business associations/clusters, local elected bodies, education institutions of all levels, cultural/sport/youth associations, media, as well as think tank representatives, are invited to apply as well.

The Summit is organized by the Western Balkans Fund with the support of Embassy of Japan in Tirana.

The main objectives of Summit are:

         To promote people to people links through fostering dialogue between the relevant regional CSOs;

         To increase awareness on the importance of nurturing reconciliation and regional cooperation;       

The CSO Summit will provide a great opportunity to participants coming from the region to share and to learn directly from donors and decision makers about the challenges and successful results that continue to influence regional cooperation in WB. Additional expected result of the Summit entails direct involvement of participants in developing recommendations and tools that will further deepen and strengthen cooperation toward reconciliation processes in the region.

Western Balkans Fund will offer full sponsorship to participate in the event to a selected number of participants representing CSOs from Western Balkan region.

Please note that we can accept applications from up to ONE individual per organization. A maximum of ten participants will be selected for each WBF contracting party.

The deadline for submissions is Monday 20 January 2020, at 16:59. CET

The working language of the Summit is English. Translation will be provided in all regional languages according to participants needs stated in the application form.

The final selection of the sponsored candidates will be made on a competitive basis, and decided by a selection committee.
