The Western Balkans Fund (WBF) is organizing a high-level Conference to highlight the essential role of local leaders in addressing pressing challenges and fostering regional cooperation. As key actors in the EU integration process, local authorities play a crucial part in designing and implementing effective solutions that strengthen good neighborly relations and ensure no community is left behind.

Bringing together representatives from dozens of municipalities across the Western Balkans and Central Europe, the SYNERGY Conference will serve as a platform for experience sharing, best practice exchange, and building cooperation bridges between the Western Balkans and the Visegrad Four regions. The event aims to empower local leaders, enhance collaboration between central and local governments, and foster stronger ties with Civil Society Organizations.

Organized by the WBF in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the International Visegrad Fund, NALAS, and ReSPA, this initiative underscores the importance of coordinated efforts in driving sustainable development and regional stability. By strengthening local governance and cross-border collaboration, the Conference will pave the way for a more integrated and prosperous future for the region.
