Statistically, one in eight women will face in her lifetime the terrible challenge of fighting against breast cancer.
Thanks to increasing access to healthcare, earlier diagnosis, and improved treatments, the odds of winning this battle have improved substantially in recent years across the Western Balkans.
Yet, we believe that by uniting policymakers, experts, civil society and stakeholders around a strong regional network, progress can become even faster and more impactful.
This is exactly what Europa Donna Albania set out to achieve last week in Tirana, during a Regional Conference that brought together participants from across the Balkans.
Their insights reinforced the importance of regional cooperation and concrete reforms to ensure equity, dignity, and timely access to cancer care for all women in our Region.
The Conference was organized by Europa Donna Albania, in partnership with EZRA – ЕЗРА and Renesansa.
