Building on our well-established Regional Network of Green Partners, “Friends of Korça Association” once again took on environmental challenges like decarbonization, air pollution, and deforestation in the Western Balkans.
This Green Transition Conference served as a dynamic platform to bring together local authorities, business organizations, educational institutions, civil society organizations, and academia.
Participants highlighted the power of collaboration across sectors to overcome barriers such as limited financing, outdated infrastructure, and regulatory obstacles.
Together, the stakeholders explored solar energy as a sustainable alternative to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and lower carbon emissions.
Finally, the participants committed to aligning their green agendas, sharing best practices, and advocating for policy changes across our Contracting Parties.
The “Solar Schools for Green Transition” project is one of 24 regional initiatives funded under the WBF 6th Annual Call#renewableenergy
