A regional platform for childhood cancer survivors

Childhood cancer is not just a medical battle fought in hospital rooms, it’s a test of courage that reshapes entire families. While chemotherapy and surgery attack the disease, it’s the unseen wounds of fear, isolation and exhaustion that often last longer. That’s why mental and emotional support isn’t an accessory to treatment — IT’S A LIFELINE!

No one knows this better that NVO Fenix in Herceg Novi and its partners:
– Srce za djecu in Sarajevo
– Čika Boca Mladice in Belgrade
– Udruženje roditelja djece oboljele od malignih bolesti “Iskra” in Banja Luka
– SANO for better education, health and social care in Skopje
– Udruga Krijesnica in Zagreb

Together, they gave birth to a unique and powerful platform that united childhood cancer survivor, policymakers, doctors, families and parents.

The initiative successfully created a supportive regional network where young cancer survivors could share experiences, receive psychosocial education, strengthen partner organizations’ capacities and build lasting intercultural connections grounded in empathy and resilience.
