The Western Balkans Fund welcomed H.E. Ms. Ruth Huber, Ambassador of Switzerland to Albania, to its offices in Tirana as she concludes her diplomatic mandate.
The farewell meeting provided an opportunity to express the Fund’s sincere appreciation for Ambassador Huber’s dedicated engagement and for Switzerland’s consistent support for regional cooperation across the Western Balkans.
During her tenure, Ambassador Huber has been a strong advocate of dialogue, people-to-people cooperation and closer connections among the societies of the region. Her engagement has reflected the values at the heart of the Western Balkans Fund’s mission: trust, partnership, solidarity and cooperation across borders.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of the growing partnership between the Western Balkans Fund and Switzerland. Swiss support has contributed to strengthening the Fund’s institutional capacities and expanding opportunities for regional cooperation, particularly through initiatives that connect organisations, professionals and communities throughout the Western Balkans.
The Western Balkans Fund thanked Ambassador Huber for her commitment, constructive cooperation and contribution to advancing a shared vision of a more connected and collaborative region.
As she concludes her mandate in Albania, the Fund wishes Ambassador Huber every success in her future endeavours and expresses its confidence that the strong cooperation with Switzerland will continue to deepen in the years ahead.
