The Western Balkans Fund reminds all interested applicants that only 10 days remain to apply for the Gender Equality Fund for the Western Balkans, the new flagship grant scheme dedicated to advancing gender equality, regional cooperation, and inclusive development across the Western Balkans.
The Call for Proposals remains open until 10 June 2026, at 12:59 CET.
Through this new Fund, applicants from the Western Balkans are invited to develop regional initiatives that contribute to stronger cooperation, greater inclusion, and more effective action in support of gender equality. The scheme is designed to support partnerships that bring together civil society organizations, educational institutions, cultural and sports associations, business associations, media associations, and other eligible actors from across the region.
Under the Gender Equality Fund for the Western Balkans, selected projects will receive grants ranging from EUR 30,000 to EUR 40,000. Each application must be submitted by one lead applicant, in partnership with a minimum of two regional partners from the Western Balkans.
The application process has been designed to be simple, fast, and fully automated. No attached documents are required at the application stage, allowing applicants to focus on the substance of their proposal and the quality of their regional partnership.
Interested applicants are encouraged not to wait until the final days. Ten days are still enough to prepare and submit a strong application through the online system.
